Jazz at Joe's Lee Wuthenow Lee Wuthenow was born and raised in Seattle, and got his start playing nightclub dates and casuals around the Emerald City. He later relocated to Albany, Oregon, where he was associated with Northwest jazz legends Jimmy and Bob James. For over 30 years now, Portland, Oregon has been home, and Lee has been featured at storied jazz clubs like The Helm, The Prima Donna, The Jazz Quarry, The Hobbit, Jazz De Opus and DJ's Village Jazz, where he has performed with the likes of Jack Sheldon, Carl Fontana, Anita O'Day and Diane Schuur. Lee has appeared several times at the Mt. Hood and Cathedral Park Jazz
Festivals, and has recorded with Northwest favorites Rebecca Kilgore, Tom
Grant, Dave Frishberg, Art Abrams, Tall Jazz, Leroy Vinnegar, Jean Ronne
and many others. He was the featured soloist for twenty years at The
Benson Hotel in Downtown Portland.
